Johnny Hughes
Pastor Johnny Hughes has ministered at THE BRIDGE since 1990. He was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mississippi College and a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. Prior to his ministry at THE BRIDGE he served as pastor for five years in Las Vegas, NV. Johnny is married to the love of his life, Robin, who hails from Asheville, NC. They have two sons, Charlie and Casey.
Pastor Johnny accepts the challenge of reacquainting persons who have been in church and introducing persons who have not to a fresh personal experience with the living God. He preaches and teaches that our relationship with God through Christ can only impact us as we grow spiritually and make knowing Christ our priority. The depth of our relationship with Christ is directly related to the real life transformation that Christ can have on one’s life. “If Christ touches little then little will be changed.”
Awana
Tim & Kathy Binkley
Tim and I are so passionate about teaching the children to love Jesus. It’s special when we have a child ask Jesus into their hearts and we know it’s because they first heard about Jesus at Awana.
To teach kids to love the Lord and have fun doing it! What a joy!
Education

There is truly nothing more fulfilling than watching others come to know and grow in the Lord. My heart is that those who place their faith and trust in our Lord and Savior would have a hunger to grow in their knowledge of His amazing grace and love and seek to know and do His will. A truth I recently read reminds me that we are to teach the word of God in season and out, so that others will know the truth of God's word and live according to His truth and His truth alone despite emotions, circumstances or cultural trends. Wow!
Kidz Zone

I am so excited about the Kidz Zone ministry and the opportunity I have to reach children. Children are our future church! They are our future leaders, pastors, deacons and God's disciples. I believe they are the most important ministry for any church. They are so pure and loving but come up with the most profound thoughts about God. I learn so much from them about loving our Lord and others!

Since 1991, this husband and wife team has been passionately involved in children’s ministry. Making God relevant, real and fun, while laying a Godly foundation upon which children can stand confidently for a lifetime, is the desire of their hearts.
Pre-School

To see Jesus through the eyes of a child. Wow! Children are so excited to learn about Jesus and it is such a privilege to watch them grow and learn.
Youth Ministry

I am honored and glad to be involved in the Youth Ministry at the BRIDGE. It is exciting to watch as God works in the lives of our youth. Not only do I watch the youth mature physically but more importantly is how they mature spiritually. The youth are the future leaders of the church. What they learn today they will teach tomorrow. God tells us in 2 Timothy 4:12 not to let anyone look down on the youth because they are young. The Youth Ministry is an exciting part of the BRIDGE. I look forward to the youth growing in numbers and their passion for the Lord.
